What happens when you realize that your parents are forcing you to fulfill a 5 generations old marriage agreement, in which you will marry the heir to a family whose business could be a direct competitor to your family’s business, but won’t be because of the marriage between the two heirs to each family?
That’s exactly what happened to Ivory. She didn’t really have a choice in the matter and thus became a bride to Darius. He too was fulfilling his family’s end of the marriage contract. But while we were in Ivory’s head and knew that she was dreading this marriage, we never really knew what Darius was thinking.
Because of this, Darius seemed almost cold and completely indifferent to her, especially with all the business phone calls he took anytime they were together (and probably all the time!). So for a while, they weren’t a real couple at all and their interactions were cold and forced. But eventually, little things start happening and little by little, they become more open with each other and fairly long into the book, they turned it into a real marriage.
I absolutely loved the character of Adrian, Darius’s crazy cousin. He was able to bring Darius to an understanding of just how much he had in Ivory, he just had to let go and get to know her. He was a friend to Ivory, when she was in dire need of one, who especially knew her husband well. And further, Adrian was just freaking hilarious!

Marriage by Law Billionaire Romance Novel NK Pockett 9781680308686 Books Reviews
I really wanted to live this book. The plot was interesting and had promise but it drive me crazy how they heroine Ivory seemed totally immature and how she narrated the story. I went from 6 months, 12 months before to the present time. Clean book, a few kisses and some of it didn't make sense.
Here is another book I was honored to read on Wattpad. N.K. Pockett wrote this story about a marriage of convience to unite two families thru busniess. Ivory and Darius had to marry so that their family businesses would not ruin the other. Ivory goes along with the plan, she is heartbroken. She caught her boyfreind cheating on her. Darius well he seems to be in his own world. This is their story on how their marriage will work out.
I really enjoyed this story. I was a little skeptical at first but it kept me engaged and wanting to know more. But that's also how it ended for me. Wanting more. To know more. Why the name aluminum? How did we get from marry me to babies? And Rose's story? Would have loved more of that too. I just felt like for the length of the story I still had too many unanswered questions. Regardless I still really enjoyed this good, clean read.
The person who did the negative review made me leery. She was totally wrong. How could anyone read only 80 percent of the book and stopped.
It started with a ridiculous arranged marriage, but continued with good humor and finally a happily ever after ending.
This is a wonderful book. To be honest I was a bit skeptical at first. The idea was so different from anything I had read before, but I give the first chapter a chance, and I was hooked. I initially read this on wattpad. However, I bought it as soon as I discovered that it was published, reading it for a second time, and loving every page.
This is truly an amazing book, with a very unique idea, wonderful characters, an amazing story, and to top it all off, its beautifully written.
Ok. I went as far as I could go with this book. Not only was the hero boring, but the heroine was totally annoying. Ad to these facts that the author was either a foreigner or someone who never set eyes on a grammar book - and was too cheap to hire an editor. So don't waste your time or money on this one. You'll only find yourself saying "what?" Or "huh?" So often you will lose the thin plot of the story.
I liked the idea of an arranged marriage and not even knowing what her husband looked like months later, but the story did not live up to its potential.
I did not like Ivory. I found her to be weak, whiny, and immature. The immaturity could be somewhat excused by her age but it was still annoying. Actually most of the characters were generally underdeveloped and immature. I also never felt a real connection between Ivory and Darius.
There were a few logical aspects that were given that bothered me but could generally be ignored. The length of Ivory's relationship with James bothered me (4 years) when I found out she was only supposed to be twenty. The other thing was the incongruity of them supposedly growing up wealthy and still being wealthy. Some of the preferences and actions, especially Ivory's did not support this.
Overall the book was just ok. Partly because I wanted to like it based on the blurb. It is probably better for YA readers but not necessarily those adults who like an occasional YA novel.
